Description The Rembrandt Residence Hotel is situated in the heart of Amsterdam between the Herengracht and the Singel, near Dam square. It is set in seventeenth and nineteenth century monumental buildings right on the city's most prestigious canals.
The hotel is on a 10 minute walking distance of the Central Station and it is 5 minutes from the famous shopping streets Kalverstraat and Nieuwendijk.
Three streets behind the hotel is the Spuistraat situated. There are many cosy restaurants in this street. From typical Dutch food till Spanish, Italian, Indian and a lot of other nationalities.
After a 15 minute walk, you'll reach the Leidseplein or the Rembrandtplein. These two squares have a lot of bars, clubs and restaurants.
The museums are easy to reach from the hotel because many trams are stopping on Dam square. After approximately 10 minutes you're on the Museumplein, where the Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk museum are situated.
Madame Tussaud's is only a 5 minute walk from the Rembrandt Residence Hotel.
Directions Car Parking - Secure community parking (Europarking) (10 minutes walk), rate approximately EUR 35 per 24 hours. Parking on the street costs EUR 3 per hour. Day tickets, available both on the street and in the hotel,are valid for parking on the street and cost EURO 29.
Travel from Schiphol Airport is possible with -Shuttle bus, duration 35-40 min. Price is EUR 10,50 per person. There is no stop at the hotel, but if you ask the driver, he will stop at the corner of Herengracht and Raadhuisstraat, from where it is only 3 minutes walking to the hotel.
-Train to Central Station Amsterdam, duration 12-20 minutes. This train will be leaving every 6-10 minutes. An one way ticket costs EUR 3,10 each.
Travel from Central Railway Station -Tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17, tram stop Dam. You are now at the back of Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Centre. Just walk around the corner. You are now on the Raadhuisstraat, behind you is the Royal Palace. Walk straight ahead until the Herengracht. Go to the left (cross the street) and stay at this side of the canal. After the crossing street Gasthuismolensteeg you will find the Rembrandt Residence Hotel with the blue sunshide. It's only a 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
