Description We are a small, two star hotel with 24 lovely rooms, that can accommodate up to 54 guests.
In 1984 the building was converted from a mattress factory into a comfortable hotel. Recently, the hotel was modernized to meet the latest international safety and fire prevention codes; as well as to ensure that our regular and new guests will consider this place as their home-away-from-home.
We are situated in the very centre of Amsterdam, close to the Central Station - guests find themselves within walking distance from many famous Dutch attractions. The friendly atmosphere and generous hospitality have drawn guests back to Hotel Sint Nicolaas over and over again.

Directions From Schiphol Airport
You will have to take a direct train to the Central Station Amsterdam. Once you get there
you can either walk here – it’s only 5 minutes walking distance - or take a tram.
Cancellation policy Your credit card details are required to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel. Payment will be made exclusively to the hotel. If you cannot take up your booking, you need to cancel no later than 2 day(s) before your date of arrival. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET.) Any booking not taken up and not cancelled 2 day(s) before arrival will be billed at a cost equivalent to the price of the first night. A different cancellation policy may apply for group bookings. The hotel will contact you within 24 hrs. if this is the case.
Smoking room
This must be the smallest and cutest room in the hotel! It is on the top floor, right under the roof so you will not find a regular ceiling here. The side wall is also the room’s ceiling and that gives this room its unique atmosphere. A small window faces the tops of the buildings and the sky, which makes it the best way to check on Amsterdam’s unstable weather. If you need time alone with your thoughts – that’s the best place to be in! All romantic diary-writers will love this room!

Non-smoking room
Ideal for the new weds! Over the years we noticed that couples love this room for its romantic atmosphere, wonderful view and cosiness. The majority of the space in the room is taken by the king size bed, where from you can admire the amazing view of the town. Get some Champaign before you lock yourselves in the room; sit on the wide window sill and relax – that’s what you are coming here for!

This room is large enough to accommodate you and whoever you chose to enjoy Amsterdam with. It’s the ideal place to begin your vacation. Wake up lazily in the morning, go downstairs to take your breakfast and go back to your room with cup of coffee for an additional energy kick. Do not worry that you will be bumping one onto another in a rush to get ready and go – you have enough space around. The only problem you can encounter is a queue your friends will make to your private bathroom.
